This program presents the current practices of intravenous (IV) therapy and blood withdrawal (BW). It defines the importance of IV therapy, its purpose, anatomy and physiology. It is designed to teach vocational and registered nursing students and graduates the IV and BW procedures and safety measures, as well as the understanding of legal implications and complications, if not performed correctly. It also covers hands-on practice with direct IV start and BW from human specimens.
