Certificate in Automotive Basic Service and Repair

The Automotive Basic Service and Repair certificate consists of three foundational, fundamental courses that establish the required safety, inspection, and knowledge needed to begin a career in automotive service and repair. Students will have knowledge of the engines and electrical systems of cars and light trucks.

Certificate of Achievement Level Student Learning Outcomes

Students completing the Automotive Basic Service and Repair Certificate of Achievement will:

Demonstrate knowledge and technical skills related to automotive service and repair of engines and electrical systems of cars and light trucks. Students will also be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of safety as it relates to the automotive service and repair industry. Additionally, students will be able to complete a comprehensive vehicle inspection of cars and light trucks that would reflect the needed safety, maintenance, and repairs required.
