Catalog Course Description
This course will offer students interested in a performance career the practical business and marketing tools needed to apply to their goals in the professional world of theatre, musical theatre, dance and film and television. Focus is on audition technique, securing an agent and/or manager, marketing to industry professionals and the development of successful headshots. 54 lecture hours.
Course Objectives
- Demonstrate an understanding of online marketing tools such as face book, twitter, and online casting sites.
- Complete a 3-year business plan and strategy for entrance into the entertainment industry.
- Complete a monthly budget to include living expenses, day to day bills, and fundamental needs that allow one time for artistic pursuits.
- Complete an audition tape for online submissions.
