Catalog Course Description
This course prepares the student to administer a baseball program. It will include teaching methods, practice organization, administration, scouting and live game strategy. 36 lecture hours.
Course Objectives
- demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals of administering a baseball program
- formulate offensive and defensive strategies
- evaluate and apply principles of pitching with a diverse group of pitchers
- Evaluate and apply principles of hitting
- Demonstrate the proper technique for infield and outfield play
- Apply the principles of basic anatomy and physiology to the body's response to exercise and to injury
