Catalog Course Description

This course prepares the student to administer a baseball program. It will include teaching methods, practice organization, administration, scouting and live game strategy. 36 lecture hours.

Course Objectives

  • demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals of administering a baseball program
  • formulate offensive and defensive strategies
  • evaluate and apply principles of pitching with a diverse group of pitchers
  • Evaluate and apply principles of hitting
  • Demonstrate the proper technique for infield and outfield play
  • Apply the principles of basic anatomy and physiology to the body's response to exercise and to injury
