Certificate in Cal-GETC

This certificate prepares students for transfer to the California State University (CSU) or University of California (UC) systems by fulfilling the lower-division general education requirements through the California General Education Transfer Curriculum (Cal-GETC), the singular pathway for California Community College (CCC) students.

While this certificate signifies the completion of lower-division general education coursework, it does not guarantee admission to a specific campus or major within the UC or CSU systems. Students must still meet campus-specific major and unit requirements for transfer. Additionally, some majors or colleges may require further lower-division preparation or a higher GPA than required by this certificate.

Students are strongly encouraged to meet with a counselor to ensure they meet all current transfer admissions requirements and to discuss specific major and campus preparation for their intended transfer institution.
