Catalog Course Description

An intermediate level workshop class in applied music with an emphasis on classical techniques which includes a private one-half hour lesson per week, attendance and participation in a weekly concert hour and skill and repertoire building activities. 18 lecture hours, 80 lab hours arranged.

Course Objectives

  • demonstrate performance skill improvement to a faculty jury and through public performances at an intermediate level.
  • demonstrate an ability to perform literature of an intermediate skill level through his/her performance medium.
  • demonstrate knowledge of a wide variety of musical styles and interpretation through his/her performance medium at an intermediate level.
