THEA 229: Concert Touring Lighting Designer

• solve problems in concert touring through the ability to interpret working drawings and plots in the set up of lights for a production
• demonstrate knowledge on the set up and operation of static and intelligent lighting consoles to include but not limited to ETC express, ETC EOS, GrandMA, HOG, Virtuoso and Avolites.
• demonstrate knowledge on the set up and operation of a tour lighting rig
• demonstrate proficiency in the skills required for lighting design for a live concert.
• demonstrate and employ basic skills required for the technical demands of a live concert production
• execute the lighting responsibilities in pre rig, show run, and strike
• demonstrate knowledge on the set up and operation of lighting rig for a variety of venues
• collaborate with other leads in executing a live concert through planning and execution
