Catalog Course Description
An advanced level workshop class in applied music with an emphasis on popular techniques which includes a private one-half hour lesson per week, attendance and participation in a weekly concert hour and skill and repertoire building activities. 18 lecture hours, 80 lab hours arranged.
Course Objectives
- demonstrate performance skill improvement to a faculty jury and through public performances at an intermediate/advanced level.
- demonstrate an ability to perform a variety of musical styles through his/her performance medium
- demonstrate knowledge of various musical styles and interpretation through his/her performance medium
