Catalog Course Description

This class involves preparation and participation in collegiate show choir competitions. This course may be taken four times. 36 lecture hours, 108 lab hours arranged.

Course Objectives

  • Provide overview for competitive collegiate show choir competitions
  • Learn techniques applicable to competitive collegiate show choir competitions
  • Apply techniques learned in rehearsal to performance in competitive collegiate show choir competitions

  1. Development of tonal skills for competitive show choir environment.
  2. Development of rhythmic skills for competitive show choir environment.
  3. Development of reading skills for competitive show choir environment.
  4. Development of articulation skills for competitive show choir environment.
