Catalog Course Description

Intercollegiate competition in men's varsity golf. This course may be taken four times. 162 lab hours.

Course Objectives

  • demonstrate the skills necessary for participation in the game of golf
  • understand the sport as an effective means of social contact and personal character development
  • demonstrate the ability to understand and apply concepts of group dynamics in attempting to reach a common athletic goal
  • analyze the different theories, strategies, and specific techniques used in playing the sport
  • exhibit the proper mental attitude needed to compete effectively
