Catalog Course Description

The study of the basic structure and function of the human anatomy as it relates to the oral cavity. This course provides instruction on oral histology and embryology, head and neck anatomy, and oral pathology with emphasis on their relationship to and affect on dental treatment. 36 lecture hours.

Write research paper from professional journals on non-infectious disease of their choice, including content on etiology, diagnosis, treatment, prognosis and oral implications if any.

Students will be required to complete the following types of assignments outside of the regular class time:
Answer study questions directly related to content
