Catalog Course Description
An overview of the World Wide Web with emphasis on design and publishing. This course utilizes various developmental tools in the design of pages to be used on the Internet for commercial or personal use. 36 lecture hours, 72 lab hours.
Course Objectives
- utilize Adobe Dreamweaver as a Web development tool
- utilize Adobe Photoshop as a web graphic tool
- understand the function of FTP applications
- import hypertext documents, manipulate and change into HTML code manually
- import graphics, manipulate and, using tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, produce Web side graphics
- develop a flow chart for a series of pages to be used in conjunction with a home page
- organize and maintain a simple and functional web site.
