Catalog Course Description
Concept and procedures for analyzing materials and methods involved in producing reliable complete project estimates as well as the bidding process. 54 lecture hours.
Course Objectives
- Create written reports and oral presentations for construction projects (ACCE-SLO# 1)\\n
- Create quantity takeoff for construction projects (ACCE-SLO # 2)\\n
- Conduct a cost comparative analysis of alternatives for the various estimates (ACCE-SLO # 2)
- Analyze subcontractor quotes and select the appropriate subcontract bid (ACCE-SLO # 2)
- Work effectively in a bidding team to develop and present a bid proposal (ACCE-SLO # 2)
- Determine a reliable cost for the individual construction tasks and overall project (ACCE-SLO # 2 and 6)
- Analyze different ethical issues in construction projects (ACCE-SLO # 8)
